Many heroes work behind-the-scenes, using their skills to impact the lives of people who find themselves in dire circumstances. The heroes of the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) are everyday people who do extraordinary work, stepping up as part of a team to provide care to people who are facing catastrophic hardships.
