Massachusetts Training Day Conference
On Tuesday March 3, over 100 enthusiastic volunteers from across Massachusetts attended the state’s fourth annual Training Day conference in Worcester, MA. The event was hosted by the MA Dept. of Public Health’s Office of Preparedness and Emergency Management. Most of the attendees were from the Medical Reserve Corps, with another contingent from the MA Volunteer Program for Public Health.
Participants engaged in a mix of hands-on and classroom-based instruction designed to strengthen skills essential for public health volunteer service. The sessions offered the necessary information to enhance attendees’ overall comfort and capacity to respond.
By investing in training and professional development, MRC units strengthen local capacity and support HHS and ASPR priorities, while advancing Presidential directives related to preparedness and community resilience.
