To the left of Unified Command are:

  • Senior Advisor(s): may include pre-selected experts representing the private medical community.

  • Safety Team: includes traditional safety roles, health/preventive medicine, and security.

To the right of Unified Command are:

Below Unified Command are four functional sections:

  • Operations Section

  • Logistics Section

  • Planning Section

  • Administration/Finance Section

To the upper right is a Multiagency Coordination Group (MAC Group), described as a senior political authority for the jurisdiction that provides policy guidance to the MACC.

Below it is the Multiagency Coordination Center (MACC), usually the local Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The MACC contains an Emergency Manager overseeing Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) or other functional units.

The Unified Command is connected to the MACC, illustrating coordination between incident command and multiagency emergency management structures.
